“Perfect Retreat”
Reviewed 24 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

The Barn is perfectly situated for those that want to escape from it all but still have home creature comforts; it is very well furnished & maintained. Everything has been given careful thought, right down to the hand wash, wi-fi, extra loo rolls, decent towels, extremely well equipped kitchen, a true home from home and all you would ever need self catering. Jo is the perfect host and works incredibly hard to make your stay perfect. 11/10 from us

“Beautiful scenic peaceful location”
Reviewed 20 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Holidaying from Australia and this was the perfect place to absorb the beauty of the English countryside. Excellent facilities made for a very enjoyable stay. Walking/jogging up the country lane to the views from Alport Heights Park was a highlight.

“Perfect retreat for a friends get together”

Booked Spout Barn to get together with friends for a long weekend. The barn is amazing, on the ground floor are the first 2 bedrooms both on suite, then the main living area, kitchen and 3rd bedroom are accessed via the stairs. Once you get upstairs the ceiling is vaulted and the open plan space for the kitchen and living room is fantastic. The 3rd bedroom leads off the living area. The decor and finish of the barn is amazing. There is everything you need. There is a built in Bosch oven and Neff hob, built in microwave and free standing fridge freezer in a deep red colour. Jo the owner was very good at answering any queries I had with reference to the barn prior to our arrival. All I would say is the barn was so nice I could have moved in and lived there. Felt more like a home than a holiday home. Would recommend 100%.

Stunning place, spotlessly clean, lovely views. Well equiped kitchen. .
Maps, books provided. Wood burning stove. a real home from home and will definitely return soon. peaceful spot but not in a village so if you need a pub you will need to walk or drive

“Excellent accommodation with a "home from home" feel and idyllic views.”
Reviewed 1 September 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This cottage has everything you need and more to have a relaxing family holiday. Ideally placed to access all the peak district and further east into Lincolnshire, there's lots to do around the area and plenty of leaflets to plan your days out. Shops and eateries in Wirksworth just a short 5 min drive away, or everything you need to make a home cooked meal. The owners are very welcoming and even went out of their way to help us get to the local garage for repairs...going above and beyond.

Liked best: The light spacious property and location.
Liked least: Upstairs bedroom needs more blinds on skylights to keep out morning sunshine.
