“Lovely location in quiet park”
Reviewed 10 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Lodge in wonderful location on side of beck. Decking overlooking beck and fields with horses. Lodge itself was clean with towels, toilet rolls, and cleaning items so no need to take any for a short stay. Lodge 3 beds, one master, one bunk and a small double bolted onto the side but it did have an en suite again small. We went with 3 adults and a young child and it was fine in size for us. Surprised there was no freezer compartment in the fridge other than that had a cooker, toaster, microwave etc. Only thing was that some of the furniture was looking a bit tired and for a luxury lodge let it down which was a pity. Enjoyed the stay easy booking in/ out and keys at lodge. No issues while there.

Reviewed 31 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Lovely lodge with decking overlooking river, great site quiet but with shop, playing friend and pub on-site. 10 minute walk to local village with tearoom and pub.
Rooms were good size. clean and comfortable.
Only slight problem we had was hot water in bathroom (couldn't always get working)
Had an excellent long weekends stay,

“Great retreat”
Reviewed 31 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We were looking for a nice and quiet place and this place delivered it. While the lodges are built quite close together, this particular one is right at the front of the park with a gorgeous view across a stream and a meadow. The lodge is quite spacious and offers plenty of comforts, although some of the furniture is getting on a bit. Location is excellent, just 5 minutes outside Windermere and 10 minutes from Ambleside.

There's a pub on the park which we didn't use but the walk to the pub in the village of Troutbeck across the little valley is just stunning. Worth visiting for the walk alone.

“Charming lodge”
Reviewed 20 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We have just returned from a 4 night stay and we have had a lovely time. The lodge is in a great location, it's an easy drive to Ambleside, Grasmere, etc.

The lodge has a lovely position right next to the stream and looking out into the fields. We'd also get the late evening sun on the deck, which was lovely for a well deserved G&T.

Limefitt holiday park itself was very quiet, clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend for couples and families alike.

“Perfect location”
Reviewed 28 July 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Stayed here with friends, the parking spot in front of the building was enough for two (small) cars, the cabin is well fitted with everything we needed and is in excellent condition, the atmosphere is cosy, the surroundings beautiful. Location was great for shorter walks from the cabin and longer trips with the car. It didn't feel like we had to spend too much time sitting in the car to get to the different lakes and hiking trails. 10/10, would go again.
