“Definitely worth doing”

Reviewed 6 November 2017

Despite a little slippery and steep in places, would highly recommend this walk. Our dog loved it too!

Storm Brian meant the the falls were in spate. A really lovely place to visit but wear a sturdy pair of boots.

Beautiful walk up to the Falls, very slippery in places but manageable ,the falls are amazing the noise is like thunder yet tranquil .I am assuming there used to be another stairway to the actual top of the falls which now is blocked with rocks and foliage .well worth a visit.if you have walking sticks this would help in places as there are a few steep bits to endure.

Stanley Gill waterfall is tuked away in Eskdale but well worth the walk, can be a bit slippery in the wet and there are some steep climbs . it's at it best after heavy rain.

I spent an hour on an easy, flat walk along the River Esk which took me past the Stanley Ghyll waterfall. A great site after rainfall. The walk was easy for most ages and abilities but can be a little muddy after rain in places.
