“Lovely conversion which is well laid out with two separate luving areas if required”
Reviewed 24 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We were looking for somewhere near the Lake District to share with relatives which had two bathrooms and that took dogs. This place was ideal. Well placed for Cartmel and Grange with a family run friendly pub within a stone's throw. The lack of pavements in the village makes for slightly nerve-racking walking to get anywhere but you are soon on quiet roads or footpaths with some lovely views over Morecambe Bay. We had a lovely week here. Cartmel is 5 minutes by car and charming. Grange with good bakers and chocolate shop has a Prom, overlooking the marshes and distant sands. The Lakes are a reasonably short drive away. Humphrey Head and Hempshall Hospice both worth a visit. Owner was very helpful. We would definitely stay again.

“Easter in the sun”

We only spent 3 nights at The hayloft - we all wished it was longer. We arrived Friday afternoon parked up and then didn't move the cars till Monday morning. Lovely walk into Cartmel with beer and cheese for lunch on the Saturday and then Humphrey Head with beautiful bluebell woods on the Sunday followed by lunch in the cottage. There was plenty of everything - some places we have stayed for 5 there were 5 of everything and not one extra but the Hayloft has plenty of kitchen equipment. I can't think of anything it didn't have. We enjoyed a few games of Table tennis, sat outside in the sun, watched TV, idled time in the conservatory. and a pub only yards away serving Morecambe Bay shrimps. All lovely. We only wish we had longer. On top of this I left a necklace in the bedroom and the owners kindly sent it home for me. If you want somewhere quiet in the Lakes - come here.

we stayed here with my elderly parents and it was perfect as they could have the downstairs area and we had the upstairs area.
the cottage was very well equipped, quiet private and lovely and warm.
the conservatory was a lovely place to sit when the sun was out, which was quite often as the weather was generally good when we were there.
the area is lovely, lots of nice villages to visit and a very handy pub.
we will definatly return.
and there was also a very friendly ginger cat!

This is a lovely cottage with everything and i mean everything provided, first cottage i have had with enough crockery etc. to be abel to use the dish washer. Safe garden for the dogs. Games room for everyone.
Reading through the guest book if a suggestion was made it was acted upon and reply left in the book.
Great Location, The Pheasant Inn just 100yrs across the road was excellent, great food and nice people, Quiz night on thursday is a must.
The best cottage holiday I have had in a very long time, nice village there is a Post Office with a little shop. Two pubs, so easy to get around to other places.
I can wait to visi again
