My husband booked dinner as a treat for my mum & I and the three of us absolutely loved the whole experience. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We had a mixture of starters to share (tapas style) which included Beef Tataki, Nigiri Sushi, Kani Korokke & Sticky Pork Belly. We followed these with more mouth watering food of Sea Food Ramen, Chicken in Black Bean Sauce & Katsu Curry with chicken. As for the the desserts they sounded so tempting we ordered Mango & Coconut Cheesecake, Green Tea & Passion Fruit Mousse and Vanilla Crème Brulee to share between the three of us. Maybe in future they could offer a dessert platter, especially when your 84 year old mum decides she is having more than a third of the dessert she is supposed to be sharing!

The restaurant has sumptuous decor & gorgeous lighting and furniture. Once the building work on the new development at the hotel is finished the overall effect will be even more stunning than it already is. This restaurant truly is a gem in the lake district and worth the 50 minute drive from my mums'

The staff were very attentive and my husband & I thanked the head chef for a truly brilliant dining experience.

Thank you to all the staff & we will book again!

My wife and I had dinner last night at Mizu.
We had a fabulous evening.
The decor is sumptuous, relaxing and we had a beautiful view of the waterfall and trees. The soon to be completed building works did not detract .
My wife (being a vegetarian) was catered for and the Pan Asian food was well presented, beautifully cooked and delightfully different.
We cannot wait to go there again.
When the new Spa works are completed, with the additional socialising areas that will be created - this hotel will be hard to beat. Thank you Mizu

Tonight is our second visit in the last 6 weeks, yet again faultless. We had the tasting menu, child number 1 who is vegetarian had the ramen and child 2 had chicken katsu curry. The staff are attentive and the food was excellent. There was a wedding event in the adjacent room but you would not know, couldn’t hear the music or the karaoke. Yes there is building work going on outside as they complete their new spa complex but the current view does not distract from the stylish atmosphere of the restaurant nor the fantastic food. So nice to have a fine dining restaurant local to us, we will return.

We visited as a couple for an anniversary meal. We’re huge fans of Japanese food and found Cumbria definitely lacks in this - perhaps unsurprisingly! But this is definitely a lovely addition to the local restaurants. Pricey, but portions aren’t too small and the quality of the food is definitely worth it.
Would recommended the chocolate lava cake to end - it was delightful.

One thing to add - on the children’s menu you offer a chicken filled hirata bun yet the only options on the main menu is a vegetarian one to start and plain ones as a side. Have you considered offering a meat filled one to start, as I would definitely have ordered that?

Overall a lovely meal and definitely worth the bill!

Absolutely fabulous meal with great service. We had the sushi platter, sashimi plate and tataki tuna to start ... all delicious but the tuna was the stand out star, yum.
We then had the seafood ramen, pork ramen, Thai green cod itame and the lamb. The curry and lamb were fabulous but we felt the ramens may benefit from some extra chilli. Dessert was Japanese lava cake and ice cream. With drinks the bill came to £165. Already looking forward to our next visit.
