We enjoyed an overnight stay to break a journey from Scotland. Our room was in the modern extension to what was once a grand stately home. The room was very clean and well stocked along the lines of other Q hotels we have stayed in. We had a very enjoyable evening meal in the hotel's well appointed restaurant which is obviously well patronised- the staff were very obliging. Breakfast was buffet style as in most large hotels - the food and choice was good. A quiet location in it's own grounds at the end of a long drive. Good value for money

Stayed overnight Sunday/Monday in the Old Part of the hotel. We had travelled from Scotland and decided to split our journey to the south. The Hall itself was stunning. Beautiful venue for a Wedding. There is also a modern building along with Conference Rooms. Staff were very helpful. Food in the newer part. We an evening meal and Breakfast. The Maitre'de was very attentive as were his staff. He would be very suited to be running a fine dinning resturaunt in the Old Hall.

Room Tip: A Stay in The Old Hall is preferable to the Modern Building. Easy access to the motorway but far enough not to be heard.

Stayed here for a two day conference. The facilities are good and the history of the building has a nice touch. The staff took good care if us and the food provided through out the day was of good standard.
For those of us who were lodging though? It was much more of a mixed bag. Despite the same rate having been paid across our group, some were placed in very lavish rooms whilst others rooms were lacking in even basic standards like cleanliness and up keep.
The room I stayed in was not really even on par with a premier inn with the wall paper peeling off the walls and fixtures like towel racks hanging off.
The "newer" side of this hotel is definitely the side that lets it down and I feel with such a wide gap between the two offers, having a great experience here seems to be very much down to luck.
Least I had a nice view of the posh rooms from my room and if you are thinking about staying here, ask for to see if the tower room is available. My colleague stayed in here and I was able to have a look around, the room itself is amazing with a lounge area at the very top of the tower.
Ask for a discount if they are going to place you in a room by the spa or the event centre.

Myself and my husband traveled down to Crewe for the day and we dropped my best friend and her husband at Crewe hall and hotel has they spent the day at Crewe hall because of a family wedding and the building is really nice and old fashioned and it's a big house that sits in grounds on its own but you have to drive down the long drive way before you get to the building and the grounds are kept ever so well would recommend anybody if you are planning on getting married and in need of a big venue for your big day.

This really is a hotel of two halves. Who ever thought it a good idea to deface such a beautiful old building with a motorway service style extension. We stayed in a lovely 4 poster room in the character filled hall. However we were amazed that in all the lovely nooks and crannies of this majestic building there is no elegant dining room. Instead we walked down a hallway akin to airport arrivals and ended up in an atmosphere less brasserie which had all the charm of an airport lounge. To be fair to the staff in the brasserie, they were very pleasant and we were impressed with the delightful Italian maitre’d Lello (please give this charming man a fine dining room in the Old hall to run). Our main courses were disappointing (shepherds pie & chilli beef) although the mushroom soup starter and cheese board for afters were good. There are a lot of delightful young staff at this hotel but we felt they were overwhelmed by the amount of attendees at functions, hen parties etc. There was a twenty minute queue for breakfast. As there was such a large crowd we did not use the spa. It’s a shame because if Crewe Hall was separated from the conference area with its own facilities for dining and drinking, staying here would be a much more enjoyable experience.

Dear Highflyer68,

thank you for your recent visit and for your positive comments about our staff. We trust you had an enjoyable stay.
The Sheridan Lounge is open daily in the Old Hall for Afternoon teas, drinks and light meals. We have projects to open a fine dinning restaurant in the Old Hall, opening dates are not yet confirmed. Please keep in touch with us so that we can update you on our upcoming offers and news.
We hope to see you soon back at Crewe Hall
