After the long plane ride, we relaxed instantly the first time we stepped off the patio onto the soft, white sand beach! Snorkling, kayaking and swimming in front of the Villas was perfect.
We traveled with our young-adult children and their significant others over Christmas 2014. Each of the 3 bedrooms had its own bathroom with shower and separate outside entrance, giving everybody privacy. We used our rental car daily to visit the sites & activities, of which there are many within a short distance. Selva Maya rocks! There's a cute little beach bar next to Villas (closes at 8pm so no noise). No other commercial development in the immediate area so it is a peaceful get-away. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The website says that there is a restaurant on the roof at the Villas, but that apparently hasn't been the case for many years. The view from the roof is spectacular, however. The Villas still has a kitchen and a cook and we ordered several good meals and snacks.
The kitchen in the condo was fully functional, too. And the dining room table comfortably fit 6 for meals and family games.
We loved our stay at Villas DeRosaMore
