I have been meaning to do a review for so long!! This place is amazing! Me and my fiance spent 2 amazing weeks here at the end of June, the tents them selves are brilliant! Your own private glamping in the jungle very comfy king-size bed. The no running hot water didn't affect us once even though you get hot water delivered to your tent every morning we never felt like we needed it a cool shower is perfect in the Mexican heat! Very unique and lovely tents,we loved sitting outside our tents listening to the jungle with a drink! We went to the canote quite a lot very peaceful and loved the spa fish in there we also saw bat's which was brilliant!! Next thing is the staff PERFECT they made you feel so welcome and part of the family couldn't fault anyone! We ate in the restaurant most night's food was beautiful home cooking and a great price! We took the free bikes out quiet a lot, local shop couple minutes Bike ride and the beach about 10 min bike ride that we took often was lovely! Really nice bike ride through akumal, we also both got the massage highly recommend!!I would recommend this place to anyone was beautiful we can't wait to plan our next trip again the staff absolutely amazing!!

The place is perfect for couple or single travel. It is very calm and relax. The best thing is the xenote, so beautiful and refreshing. The staff is very kind and friendship. I really recommend this place for nature lovers who do not care about mosquitoes and hot temperature to sleep.

Mosquitos weren’t too bad. Netting helped. Screens as well. Tents were so comfortable and spacious. Would definitely recommend this place both for couples and families looking for something a little different from a hotel room.

We wanted a jungle overnight experience and this didnt disappoint. Comfortable glamping accomodation, lots of wildlife, free bikes, a cenote for guests thats open 24 hours.
Really enjoyed our stay and staff were lovely. A trip by bike to Akumal beach straight after breakfast was a bonus as we also swam with a couple of turtles for free before we headed home before 12pm checkout
Take cash for food etc as paying by credit card incurs charges.
Food and drink for four cost about £40 so good value in my opinion.

All the employees at Akumal clamping are a pleasure, Elizabeth is super helpful and welcoming, the yoga instructor is great, the chefs make the best eggs, and Antonio gave us a great private tour of the animal rescue and Cenote.

Room Tip: Keep the lights off when you aren’t in the room to keep bugs out :)
