In Port Hope for one night, my partner and I very much enjoyed the kind hospitality of Ron and Corinne, the friendly hosts of the B&B. Summerhill is well-situated on the main street of this charming little town, with fine dining minutes away. The home itself is a mid-Victorian residence with well-maintained main floor, including a grand staircase and fine parlour which is a pleasant room to sit and enjoy a book. Or just sit Our room was large and had an excellent view of Port Hope's well-preserved storefronts. Breakfast, cooked by Chef Ron, was a plate of thoughtfully presented yummy waffles, fruit and sausages and good coffee. Next time you're in Port Hope, do yourself a favour and stay here.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view of the main street

Just spent 3 nights at Summerhill Manor with my wife and sister to celebrate my sons wedding. The B&B was fantastic in a marvellous Victorian setting. The rooms were big, well appointed and recently renovated. Chef Ron prepared delicious breakfasts each morning and the afternoon teas and homemade pies were excellent. Co owner Corrine was always a delightful hostess with an interesting background, who made us all feel very welcome - along with the miniature goats! It was great value and we thoroughly recommend it for a stay in the Port Hope area.

My husband and I went to Summerhill B&B to celebrate our anniversary. We had heard wonderful things about it and we were not disappointed. The surroundings were all antique and so lovely and warm. The dinner was delicious, cooked to perfection by Chef Ron who made us feel so welcome. We each had the steak tenderloin and the soup and salad to start were just perfect. The rice pudding dessert was tasty and left us wanting more. All in all, we totally enjoyed our anniversary dinner and plan to return soon.

Chef Ron Subden and Corrinne Fairbanks served us an exquisite dinner in the renovated B&B. The meal was cooked to perfection, served in the dinning room with a beautiful antique décor. Start the day with Chef Ron fantastic brined, smoked and spiced bacon worth the detour to savor.
