Loved this place. It has beautiful big windows with an amazing view down to the lake, and of the sun setting. It's built into the hillside but still has loads of outdoor space with lots of decked lake frontage. The weekend we stayed was one of the coldest this winter, but it was cosy inside and we wrapped up warm and explored a little - you can walk for miles along the frozen lake, or on the trails through the nearby woods. Kids and us had a fab time exploring, finding a great place to jump into the piles of snow, roasting marshmallows on the fire outside.
The entrance has a fab conservatory type area that was great for dumping all our winter boots, coats, snow pants etc. Actually there was loads of room inside but it meant no snow trailed in! It was handy having the laundry too.
The kitchen was really well equipped and the beds were super comfy (memory foam maybe?). We didn't use the bunk house but we checked it out and what a cute place to sleep!
We plan to come back in the summer to take advantage of all that awesome lake frontage and the canoes/boats that the owners let you use.
Just a note - when we arrived, it was dark and we couldn't see most of the main cottage from the road, so we weren't sure if we had the right place. But if you see the garages, park up and the path to get in was to the right!
