After we were all suited up in survival suits and gloves we were guided by captain Kris and Corey out to the bay. We saw several humpbacks , Mink’s and lots of local birds. We even saw a seal. The landscape was spectacular. We had cookies and hot chocolate floating in the bay. Kris was a superb captain. He was also a very knowledgeable guide for us with helpful information and good humour. Really fun in the zodiac. We were warm and dry under our survival suits but I recommend waterproof footwear .Definitely a must do in Trinity!!!!!

We had a great experience. Chris was a wonderful guide and was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We followed, quietly and from a respectful distance, two humpback whales and learned about their feeding habits and loads about whales in general. We saw eagles, puffins and many other sea birds. The hot drinks and cookies were an added bonus. Thanks again Chris.

Captain Kris took us out on a wonderful whale watching expedition. While the winds were mild to moderate, the temperature was low at about 6 celsius. It’s a good thing we were provided with heavy safety survival suits which doubled as warm weather gear. We started by trying to catch a Mincke whale, but it outswam us. As we were venturing further afield looking for whales, we came across several pairs of bald eagles, and many puffins. We even came across a number of frolicking seals. But the piece de resistance was the sightings of about 10 humpback whales. Captain Kris explained a lot about the behavior of the creatures we saw but his experience in finding and predicting the activity of the whales was his forte.
Fortunately a quick stop for hot chocolate, tea, and homemade cookies warmed us up. The Captain even covered my wife’s freezing feet with his jacket to make her feel more comfortable in the brutal cold wind. A highly enjoyable tour in spite of the cold.
