The hotel is strategically placed to not only visit the heritage site but to blend into the surroundings to maximise the tranquil effect a stay here can give you. The rooms are lovely , well laid out ,clean and comfortable with fabulous views of the distant magaliesberg . The Easter eggs left in our room were a wonderful surprise and a testament to the great service the staff provide in this hotel. The breakfasts were delicious as was supper .

Beautiful and spacious rooms. Walking distance to Maropeng Museum, which has some of the artifacts of the cradle of human kind. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, however slow to respond to our request.

Exquisitely surrounded my the mountains of the magalies. This hotel is surrounded by serene undulating mountains where one can get the much needed rnr. The rooms are beautifully designed although a few things noted:
No tissue boxes in the room. Succumbed to using toilet paper
No face towels in the bathrooms.

In terms of the cuisine, when it comes to special dietary requirements, the menu is a bit limited and nothing child friendly.

We attended the star gazing evening and the talk was amazing. Although there was much cloud cover, Vincent did his best to make sure we saw something and my daughter who is a budding astronomer was over joyed.

Should consider a spa, getting treated whilst surrounded by this natural beauty will just be the cherry on the cake!!

When visiting the attractions at Maropeng this hotel is ideal. Located next door to the museum and only a 10 minute drive from the Sterkfontein Caves.
The rooms are well sized and have all the required facilities with lovely views across the veld. One useful addition would be a fly screen across the patio doors.
Our meals were all of a very good standard with the Fillet Steak being particularly notable at dinner. All of the waiting staff are very pleasant and well trained.

A very fine hotel with an excellent location for the Maropeng Museum, which you can walk to.

Very comfortable with a nice bar and restaurant, although the menu was somewhat limited the food was excellent.

Staff very helpful.
