This was probably a 4 star hotel 20 years ago but age and lack of maintenance have taken their toll. The lobby is still impressive. The rooms and restaurant are past there prime, probably very nice many years ago, not so much now.
The room was a nice size and a nice layout – better than average. There was a desk and chair and an additional chair and small table. No room safe, no small fridge, no complimentary drinking bottled water. There was exposed conduit to repair or retrofit the air conditioning (in photo). There were some moldy spots and water stains on the ceiling. Paint was peeling on the bathroom ceiling. Mold in the shower wall seams. Glass shower enclosure seals worn and leak water onto bathroom floor. The room entry door has 3 locks, excluding the door handle lock, and all of those locks were broken and did not work.
Free Wi-Fi in room.
Room thermostat did not work to control temperature. Fan speed worked but temperature setting was a problem. Set temperature to 25C, and woke up cold to find the room temperature was 18C. Rooms overlooking street have some noise from street.
Smoking is allowed in the room but there was no smell of smoking.
Breakfast buffet was eastern items only, no fruit. There is a woman that fries eggs to order.
Non-english speaking hotel. It is in a good accessible location.

The hotel's been booked for us by the travel agency. Getting into the hotel you get mislead by the fancy reception. I guess they are catering for local tourism since nobody speaks English. The hotel looks like a run down place. Filth is everywhere. The bathroom is a health hazard - mold and mildew everywhere: the shower, the bathtub, the gaps between the tiles, really disgusting ! The dining room floor is sticky like it's been quite a while since it has last seen a mop. Breakfast is very poor. We couldn't get to the room because the lock was stuck and we had to get another room. Do yourself a favor - stay elsewhere !

Room Tip: Do not stay in this hotel !!!

The hotel is very well located in a street where you can find every sort of business. Main area attractions are in easy reach bu car.
Walking distance to local restaurants, supermarkets and mini markets.
The room is spacious thou furniture is old and toilet was dirty by the time we arrived.
Staff can not speak English.

Rooms now have internet, but...
The hotel is not suited to western visitors. No English spoken, breakfast has NO western food-no toast, cereals, tea or coffee.
Room bathrooms cleaned 'lazily'. All Asian beds are hard, but this hotel is as hard as any of them!

First of all this hotel was booked for us by China odyssey tours which was not justified considering the price we paid, this was not the only hotel that this company booked for us but it was the worst Not good value for money.First impression as you enter is good, the reception looks very nice, but as we were walking towards the room you begin to have doubts. The lift was dirty the hallway wallpaper is peeling off, as we entered our room the bathroom was not clean there was hair and dirt on the floor. The bed sheets were stained with blood.WiFi only available in lobby area. The stink of cigarettes is very strong guests can smoke in rooms and lobby area. To make things worse nobody can speak English so its useless trying to make a complaint.

Room Tip: None do not go there
