“Very nice cabin”
Reviewed 25 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Loved our stay in The Chestnut Log Cabin, very peaceful and laid back area. Just the fact that the Chestnut Log Cabin is 94 years old is increasable! Being a Forester, the word "Chestnut" sold me! Owners are very responsive and the cabin is furnished nicely. The drive way is a little tricky, but by the end of the trip, we had that mastered! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your cabin.
The local bars and restaurants are fun!

“Quaint but MOLDY”

While we had a great visit as old friends catching up always do, Chestnut Log Cabin had a few issues. The cabin itself had good amenities - wi-fi, well stocked kitchen, dvd player with movies available, nice outdoor hot tub. But the mold was hard to get past. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling, around the window, on the tile, and on the shower curtain. There was even a small furry patch of mold growing on the living room wall. The plaster is falling off the walls in nearly every room. The kitchen sink backs up every time the shower is used or the toilet flushed. So while this could be a really quaint vacation spot, it needs some help at the present time.

“great cabin, close to everything, Melanie wonderful owner”

staying in Hot Springs is a must do for anyone visiting the States. Staying at the Cabin is excellent particularly if you love motorcycles as there are plenty riding by on weekend travelling on one of the most winding roads I have ever seen. The Cabin is spacious a little dark but hey thats okay. Everything works and Melanie is a most informative and helpful owner who live's not far away but is never intrusive on your privacy or holiday. The cabin is a short walk to town where all essentials (beer) can be purchased, there is a laundry in town too which helps as the cabin has no laundry an inconvenience but not life threatening. I will stay there again.

“Love the quiet, coolness of this log cbin”
Reviewed 3 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

I love this cabin! The layout is so cozy and comfortable. The owners thought of everything! We parked the car and walked everywhere in town. We got on the Appalachian Trail right at the cabin and had a wonderful hike and came back to relax in the hot tub. We cooked our own meals and ate at the dining room table that reminded me of the one I grew up with many years ago. What a relaxing and most therapeutic vacation! I want to come back again!
