I am noticing that many of the reviewers for this attraction have very few reviews to their name & wonder if they are really legitimate reviews. We tried to go on this tour. Our guide (Greg) started out to be very engaging & we were excited to go on the walk. However, literally about 5 minutes in, he started having trouble with remembering the stories he was supposed to tell. I thought he was kidding at first, but he had a serious melt down and told us he could not continue the tour. He mentioned that this had happened to him a couple of times before. We spent all of 10 minutes on the tour, and half of that was walking back to our vehicle to leave. It was very awkward with our kids & pretty disappointing. We had not paid any money up front, so did not have that to deal with. We have been on ghost walks all over the U.S. and this was by far the most bizarre (and not in a good way). If you are planning to try it, be prepared for an alternate plan to entertain your disappointed kids in case it is a bad night.

In response to the one negative review of Where Shadows Walk, Franklin's Haunted History Tour, we'd like, first to offer our sincere regrets that your experience was anything but amazing. Where Shadows Walk, Franklin, North Carolina's Haunted History Tour strives for excellence. We've had tremendous success, and our guests leave not only in awe of the mind-blowing history of our town and region but often terrified after hearing of the dark, chilling tales that make up the fabric of our storied town and region. On this particular night, our tour guide was becoming very ill very fast. He tried to soldier on; however, he realized quickly he could not. No guest lost money, as no one had paid, and our guide apologized for any inconvenience. When dealing with tour guides of any kind, one must realize that illness, exhaustion or impromptu conflicts may occur. Our tours have garnered guests from around the world. We offer professional presentations often at libraries and festivals and our reviews are real. No where will guests receive a more intimate and haunting, historic ghost tour.

If you like history and ghost stories you can not do any better than to tour Franklin, North Carolina with Greg of Where Shadows Walk! His knowledge of this area's history and his passion for "lifting the veil" between the living and the dead is second to none. We not only were fascinated by the stories but captured two amazing images. These now appear on the website's evidence section and rank as some of the best we've ever seen. You will love this tour.

We had so much fun and loved learning the rich history of franklin. I would suggest wearing your walking shoes and having a drink. There isn't a brick and mortar location. The trip advisor directions took us to the other side of town. We assumed we could just show up to buy tickets. Which isn't the case. You have to call ahead (days possibly) to reserve a tour. We had a great time. Would love to see a location open representing the tour with maybe a gift shop!

We did the Friday June 13th full moon walk/tour and I have one word for this. AWESOME.. Very knowledgeable of the history and all of the subject matter. I have been on two other tours one in Savannah, GA. and one in Cassadaga, FL. and I must say this is by far and above the very best one without question. So if you want an informative and entertaining night.....GO AND DO THIS...I felt they go above and beyond for you. LOVED IT.....
