A beautiful drive north of downtown Franklin NC takes you to this lovely home with huge living area, and large deck to take in the mountain view.
I have been all over the country staying at accommodations I have booked online and have never stayed in such an awful place. This cabin doesn't appear to have been updated since the 1960s. The carpet is blue and the bathroom sinks are pink. One of the toilets would not flush properly and I had to buy mouse traps because we found a dead mouse upon arrival! The cabin is not close to anything. We had to drive an hour to the closest hiking area. There are no dining options anywhere close to this place. It was so disappointing we ended up cutting our trip short. Bottom line is they should not be renting this place much less for over $200 per night.
WOW was the general comment when we walked in to this beautiful home and again,in the morning, when we sat on the deck and viewed the fog lifting off the majestic mountains.
Arriving at night was a little tricky but directions provided took us right to the property. Thanks April for such accurate and detailed directions.
The home provided all the comforts of home and more. Only thing missing was a fireplace.
Beautiful views from every room, living room surrounded by glass doors, very comfortable beds and a kitchen supplied with everything you need including a welcome note and snacks provided by thoughtful management.
The views of the surrounding colors in both the adjacent woods as well as the majestic
mountains was able to be enjoyed on the comfortable deck which surrounds the entire house. Throw in a few visiting deer and family of wild turkeys to add to the viewing pleasure.
Only negative I can think of is the shower/whirlpool tub combo in master suite is a bit difficult to enter and exit due to wide ledge.
Ate lunch in town at Gazebo Creekside Cafe which was wonderful. Setting outside by the creek was beautiful and relaxing and food(served very promptly) was delicious.
By taking a different route back to Augusta, discovered this wonderful home is only 4 hours drive on a pleasant and easy route so will definitely be back in future.
Traveled with spouse, sister in law and Hershey our 4 legged family member and all enjoyed our time at this beautiful home.

we enjoyed our stay at
richmond's Ridge. Beautiful view and comfortable home. A bit dated but comfortable beds and furniture and well stocked kitchen. Very relaxing
Breathing taking views on a wrap around deck is where we spent most of our time ! If your looking for a quiet get away in the mountains it is the perfect location. Interior a bit out of date but the home was clean and the beds were comfy. Kitchen was well equipped. Close enough to bigger towns for great restaurants and many hiking trails !
