First off, this is a very nice Fairfield Inn & Suites. Definitely two or three notches above the standard Fairfield property. The rooms are spacious, well-decorated and have lots of amenities. The entire first floor is comprised of common areas and the breakfast is way better than usual. It's like staying in a boutique hotel.

Secondly, the staff is very helpful and friendly. They actually seem to care about the guest experience. And housekeeping keeps the rooms very clean.

Lastly, it is conveniently located to a whole lot of wineries in the Yadkin Valley, which is North Carolina's up-and-coming wine country. We visited some very nice wineries that make classic wines from grapes grown on their estates. Elkin Creek, Adagio, Stoney Knoll and Jones von Drehle were a few of our favorites.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side are quieter; Queen suites are nearly as nice as king suites and cost less

We are frequent travelers between Ohio and Florida. We’ve stayed at many places along the way until we found the Fairfield in Elkin. They have earned our business. By far the nicest roadside hotel we have stayed in. Easy highway access. Clean. Plenty of parking. We also found a dinner location nearby called Mazzini’s. Great Italian Family restaurant.

We stayed here twice earlier this month. March 4th heading south we had one room and returning home we had 2 rooms on the 6th with family. We’ve stayed here several times in the past and and have never been disappointed. Breakfast is always outstanding and the staff is great. When traveling we like to eat at Pirate’s Landing and we always try to stay within the Marriott chain whenever possible, so this Fairfield is the perfect fit for us. They are going through a major renovation and other than the tv in the dining area being down for tile work you would never know. There was no mess or noise. The beds were outstanding. The Easter and St. Patrick’s Day decorations were awesome.

Very nice place! In the middle of no where. But continental breakfast was good. Associates were nice! Rooms were clean. I did have a problem with them charging the card I put on file to just reserve the room. But overall we all had a nice experience.

The people at the desk were friendly and knowledgeable, and went out of their way to help us.

The Hotel has been recently upgrade and the Décor was very attractive.

The Breakfast was very good and the attendant especially helpful and kept the area inviting.

Room Tip: All rooms should be fine
