Your basic needs are met, but, other than being on the beach, there are not a lot of perks here. Positives: Being on the culdesac end created a more private/less crowded part of the beach. It was nice to have the community tennis courts as a free cooler day activity and the area is pretty with easy access to groceries. This particular area of Corolla did not have bike paths but the roads appeared bike-friendly. Loved the keyless entry system. Negatives: The public access stairs leading up and over the dune to access the beach require some stamina, so if you are travelling with babies or like to lug a lot of equipment onto the beach, eat your Wheaties or a few athletic friends. Although you are on the beach, you will not be able to see your family playing on the beach from the deck as the dune is pretty high. The facilities were not particularly clean: crackers under chair cushions, stale urine smells in bathroom, and a mildew smell in the center downstairs bedroom. Two bathrooms was occasionally a struggle for 2 families. There are DVD players but no DVD's and there are VHS tapes provided but no VHS player. We would have loved to have had a yard space, a larger grill, and a hammock/porch swing. The community would benefit from some landscaping beautification and bike trails to improve its appeal.
