We returned in Aug for the second year. Once again our expectations were met. Cassie on Reception and Magdalena our room maid were exceptional and their friendliness and helpfulness made our stay. You can always get a sunbed round the pool; the pool bar assistant is helpful; drinks and food are expensive though. The room was clean; towels changed daily, spacious balcony with amazing views! The stairs to the rooms are challenging for some. Breakfast had a good variety and was of a good quality. The restaurant in the evening appears quiet so we always walked into the village. Very relaxed hotel, you can help yourself to a corkscrew at the bar to take to your room! Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: If you struggle with steps, request a room on a lower floor. Top floor has the best views.

As four vegans we were a little worried that we might spend the week eating chips, salad and bread but we couldn't have been more wrong! When our delightful waitress realised we were vegans she informed the chef and between them they created the most fantastic dishes for us. They made veggie burgers and served wonderful salads with barley and cooked a variety of vegetable dishes. The service they provided made the holiday very special. The hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness and efficiency without losing any Greek charm. Every room has a sea view and is located in a quiet spot away from the busier tourist area. An ideal retreat if you are in need of a quiet break.

My mum and I stayed at the Kephalonia Bay Palace at the end of the season in September '15. It was our first trip to Kephalonia, and we loved this hotel and the village of Agia Efimia. The hotel staff were absolutely lovely - really friendly, kind and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and we appreciated the breathtaking sea view. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hotel pool which overlooked the bay.

The village itself is also a lovely place to visit. We ate at a different restaurant each night, and we enjoyed every meal. I don't usually return to holiday destinations, preferring instead to try new places but I think I might have to break my rule this time. This village has everything you need for a relaxing break.

Room Tip: Book for a room with a sea view if you can. Ours was spectacular!

This is our fourth visit, as this place is so tranquil, overlooking the sea towards Sami, with spectacular views. Situated at the end of the coast road, set on a steep hillside, with groups of rooms on terraces, plus villa rooms on the edge with their own private infinity pools. The scrubland hill at the side is a good place for seeing Booted and Bonelli's Eagles, plus Sardinian Warblers, for those who might be interested in bird watching. Tiny pebble beaches are just below, great for snorkelling in the clear water (rubber soled beach shoes are essential to get over the pebbles). The hotel provides a good buffet breakfast, which can be taken on to the terrace. The restaurant serves Greek cuisine using fresh produce and is very good, although in true Greek style, they won't have all the items on the menu, depending on what was available at the market or on the boat that day. Lovely staff who are very friendly. Clean, well appointed rooms, with kettle and beverages. A ten minute walk to the little harbour of Agia Efimia, which is full of excellent restaurants, with a number of very good tavernas on the way. Highly recommended. Not for people who have difficulty walking up and down hills.

Room Tip: Room 101 is our choice- with private pool, it's at the bottom of the hill and has uninterrupted views of the sea below.

my wife and I have just got back from this beautiful Greek Island of kefalonia and we stayed at the Kefalonia Bay palace a very good choice thanks to trip advisor . our room has a spectacular panoramic view overlooking the bay .The hotel are well located however others may have a different views . We have encountered problems with the hot water but the staff are so helpful and it was dealt immediately . The reception staffs, the bar and the waitresses are ever so friendly and attentive . We would certainly recommend KBP

Room Tip: maybe to select rooms at a higher floors with balcony facing the bay
