The cabin provided a welcome respite for a family spring break. While simple on the outside, inside was spacious, nicely decorated, open, and generally inviting. The two fireplaces (1 gas, 1 electric) were appreciated for both functionality and appearance. All basic provisions were furnished, plus bonus goodies like fresh donuts and pancake mix. We made good use of the snowshoes provided for a couple of hikes on icy trails. On the rainy day we drove to Glens Falls for indoor rock climbing (RockSport) and bowling. We also made a day trip to Lake Placid (yes, do the bobsledding!). The cabin owners were friendly and attentive and both they and their family made fine neighbors.
Debbie and Keith are great hosts! Our family (four adults and three kids) stayed for two days. The cabin was spotless and stockpiled with necessities. The cozy loft upstairs was a huge hit with our kids. We had access to a canoe and two kayaks. The location offers a magnificent panorama of the Adirondack Mountains and Lake Algonquin. A priceless getaway! We are planning to come back in the autumn.
