Our group of 12 took over much of this quaint hotel for two nights during Ramadan. Franz, the owner and 24/7 manager took great care of us, as did Iddi, our food server, porter, singer and happy smile greeting us upon our return from a day's outing.
Each room is completely different from one another and Franz was careful in selecting local furniture and fixtures throughout.
The top floor suites have good views over the rooftops of Stone Town, with a couple other rooms had small balconies. All rooms had strong a/c which was most welcome.
The meals - especially our dinner we're superb and proved to be great value. Dinner was so good our entire group gave the chef a loud round of applause.
Older members of our group would have appre late can elevator, but the stairs and stairwell added to the overall charm.More
