Description: In our 18th year, everyone's seafood and coffee favourite has reopened in a stunning new location right on the beach in town with beautiful rooms upstairs - your toes will be wet if we get any closer to the water. Fresh food, cooked simply, priced right. Seafood fresh from the ocean, vegetarian dishes and burgers to satisfy your cravings. Authentic Swahili dishes. Freshly baked cakes and coffee.. See you there!

Visited the restaurant 2 weeks ago. This restauruant was the BEST.
Clean, from top to bottom, Servers were EXCELLENT.
I ordered freshly grilled swordfish and freshly grilled vegetables.
The portions were very generous, and the fish was the best I have ever had.
I HIGHLY recommend this place which is also facing the ocean.
A real find!!!

We can be hard to find - to the left in the building opposite NBC bank downstairs on the beach. We only serve seafood available at the market on the day, and never freeze - one of the reasons your swordfish was extra tasty. Thanks for your review! Masoud.

We had amazing swordfish and prawns there a few times. The portions are very generous and the price is right. The food is flavorful and not too salty. It may not have the views of the water that some places do, but you can still watch people coming and going from the beach and see some ocean. It is an easy place to go for a quick bite and still experience outdoor dining without the big prices. We will keep going back.

On our stowntown tour we made a couple of stops, as the heat and the overflow of impressions in this buzzling little town with all its sometimes very narrow streets bring you to this point, where you have to stop for a while , to digest the impressions and be ready for the experiences, awaiting you.
We chose the archipelago as it has a nice shady garden and the menue seemed to be substantial.
We had some diets cokes and pizza and the service was fine, but somehow the waitress bseemed to become unfriendly, noticeing that we were just interested in a short stop and not in the mood to order some maincourses.
The restaurant is located in the same building of the former german consulate

Archipelago is a great restaurant catering to both swahili and international food. The pizzas are excellent, and so are the local dishes. It has a great shaded area with constant cool sea breeze blowing in your faces! Check it out!

Prices reasonable (very), the portions were big, and pilau rice was tasty. I ordered the 'grilled swordfish with pilau rice and avocado salsa'. Must visit!
