Kind, attentive staff and fun, intelligent guides come together to ensure that your Ruaha experience in Kwihala Camp is unlike any other. The camp is well-designed, homely, and luxurious, while the people managing it guarantee guest satisfaction at every turn. It's impossible not to enjoy staying here, as everyone working at Kwihala is experienced in giving you the best experience you could possibly have. It's easy to escape the mid-day heat of Ruaha in this camp, and enjoy the wildlife in Ruaha with a numerous amount of superb activities.

We spent 3 nights at Kwihala and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only the game drives and walk were extremely thrilling but the service in the camp was outstanding. All staff members were fist class, from the security to accopany you from the tent to the boma to the bar mixer to the guide - just everyone!

Room tip: Since you sleep in (very comfortable) tents you will enjoy the sounds of the wild at night

What makes Kwihala Camp stand out? The feeling you get from being at an authentic camp where the "extras" come from the amazingly attentive and welcoming staff, surprise celebrations at every turn. We especially enjoyed the delicious and elegant breakfasts in the bush with beautiful East African textiles, china, glassware and mobile omelette station. Our private candlelight dinner (thank you Manager King David) was a surprise we will never forget. Ruaha itself is a delight and Kwihala Camp is a great base from which to explore.

Our family holiday.... Two adults, three teens (18,16 & 13) consisted of 3 days in the Serengeti, Ruaha and Selous. Our stay in Ruaha at Kwihala Camp owned and operated by Aisilia was by far and a way the the pick of the three.

With all safaris there is an element of luck and having been blessed with river crossings of the Mara , crocodile kills, leopards, lions & buffalo in the Serengeti you'd have thought that anything after that would be a bit of a disappointment. We could not have been more wrong....

Ruaha's location and landscape lends itself beautifully to seeing the daily ritual of movement by the animals as they travel from the mountain areas down to the river/river beds in search of water and back to the sanctuary of the hills in the evening. There were huge herds of Elephants digging water holes and taking mud baths, Giraffe, Lions, Leopards, Crocs, Hippos, Hyenas and an abundance of birds.

Kiwhala Camp: All of the people working at the camp were so incredibly kind, friendly and helpful from the the guards who will escort you to your tent at night to David (Camp Manager) and his wonderful team....Nothing was too much trouble and everything said and done with a smile on faces.

The food was exceptional and would shame many chefs and restaurants in the UK with similar facilities. Drinks were freely and readily available ...Sundowners on the river bed at the end of a days game drive always served with care and attention to detail.

The tents were all huge, the beds incredibly comfortable, electrical and charging points plentiful all looking out over the river bed.

We have been fortunate enough to travel to Botswana, Namibia, Kenya and Zambia on safari with a number of operators and tour specialists...but Asilia seem to be getting it all right. Their attention to detail, the quality of their staff and properties. The obvious time they spend investing in their people and their development is exceptional. When we return to Africa I will have no hesitation in using them and staying at one of their properties.
