Just WOW! The discovery of this gem, situated in the tiny hamlet of Twee Rivière was the highlight of our short trip. From the friendly staff to the decor ( their ladies room is lovely!) to the gardens and the restful brunch enjoyed by us, was perfect. I had the pork sandwich whilst the pasta was enjoyed by my companion. All ingredients were home grown down to the stoneground flour with which the bread was baked. The pasta was home made tagliatelle, with smoked bacon raisins using local dairy. The menu was limited but so good! We couldn’t stop snacking on the coffee coated chocolate truffles. Highly recommended, and whilst service is relaxed, it’s definitely part of their charm! Highly recommended!

The campus cafeteria appreciates the pleasure visitors take in their chance discovery, but one must hasten to add that this establishment was not conceived with the visiting public in mind. It is and remains a campus cafeteria foremost - meaning that (service) priority is reserved for the faculty and students of the institution of higher learning which the cafeteria serves. While the patient, at ease visitor (such as MsBobbles!) remains pleasantly compatible with the cafeteria's formal mandate, there is no intention on the campus' part to encourage an increase in visitor numbers.

Took a UK visitor for Sunday lunch (need to book!) The same laid-back, friendly - almost quaint ambiance. The restaurant is full of history and still functions as a post office. Food is simple and delicious - plating is pleasing to the eye and tasty to the palate. Service is slow but each course is introduced with details of where the ingredients were obtained (generally from their own garden) Where the flour was milled (Now in their own mill) and how they were cooked. Lots of home-made breads and sweets to purchase. A delightful experience - but don't get stressed about the time - relax and 'smell the roses'!

WOW! Now this was something special. In this tiny little hamlet of Twee Riviere, just outside Joubertina, a fine-dining establishment second to none. Lovely ambience, amazing attention to details, superb food (all organic and home grown) and personal service from the lovely Reuben. This is an experience!

We went to The Belfry Kitchen because we are interested in "farm-to-fork" experiences. Friends of ours recommended that we join them in one of the cottages available to stay in. We had no expectation and had a great time. The cottage is really quaint, cozy and spacious. Both the diner and the lunch we had there were (1) very affordable and (2) absolutely delicious! The manager of the place gave us advises on hikes in the area that were really nice! I totally recommend it!
