“Value for money”
Reviewed 27 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Good size cottage with 3 double bedrooms, large lounge and large kitchen. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. The location is fine as long as you are prepared to drive as it is down a deserted lane lined with abandoned cars/lorries which is initially a bit off putting.

Thank you for recognisising the high standard and value for money of the Cottage. It can seen a bit offputting but the MOT garage and the cars cannot be seen from our property as you turn a corner leaving you to discover the house with fields and trees all around it and great rural views and clear skies. We are also a fantastic location for exploring Cornwall, central and half an hour from both coasts.

“lovely cottage,so peaceful”
Reviewed 28 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

The Cornish cottage, located at Doublebois, is a lovely ,spacious cottage, really out in the wilds. Very peaceful ,far enough off the main A38 so no traffic noise. It was spotlessly clean, with comfortable bed. There were only 2 of us, so the place seemed enormous. Our bed was made up for us, the open fire, if we needed it, was laid ready for lighting, though, for virtually all our stay, the central heating was adequate. Despite sub zero temperatures outside, we only had to light the fire on one occasion. Everything we needed was there. The only downside was the approach , which was past loads of derelict cars, as there is a scrapyard on the road to the cottage. Overall, lovely place, close to Liskeard where there are lots of shops and not far from Bodmin. Looe and Polperrro were also nearby. A car is essential

“Comfortable Stay”
Reviewed 22 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Was a pleasant stay here, well equipped and nicely secluded. Short drive from shops and from takeaway restaurants. The owners were quick to reply and were quick to drop off some linen when only one bed was made upon arrival.

The directions to the house were a little difficult to follow, and the layout of the house is potentially awkward depending on the party visiting. If it wasn't my mother and I visiting, it would have been kind of awkward having the main bathroom (so your showering facilities) in one of the bedrooms and not in its own secluded area.
The spot to which the house key is kept was troublesome (took us some 20 minutes to get it open).

We did enjoy our stay, television was good, WiFi good, there IS parking available which is fantastic.

Liked best: Parking, nice and big, comfortable lounge, private garden.
Liked least: Layout of the house was weird.

Hi. On booking we offer all guests the chance to tell us how they would like the beds made, there are two doubles and one kingsize. We can also offer a camp bed or a single bed which could be set up in the main bedroom. There is a toilet downstairs and the bathroom with shower and toilet upstairs is accessed through a bedroom. A little negotiation on shower times is required. Our kitchen has excellent equipment, great for cooks. We can help you source outstanding food if you are a foodie.

We are available for help on directions and keys. We always send directions by an app or by email. Most people don't have an issue finding the keys. Just ask is our motto, we will provide lend anything we can to help your stay. Thank you for acknowledging how comfortable and clean we are. We furnish to a high standard.
