No pets.
Because the surrounding roads are all very narrow with blind bends it was very stressful to try and drive out of the very deep valley
It therefore did not help that the t.v was very poor quality and the internet modem did not provide decent security
The cottage was nice except for the bathroom and cooker

Family holiday with grandchildren
Beautiful quaint cottage in a lovely valley - road and driveway are very narrow but so are many of the Cornish roads!
Anna and Neil were charming hosts who endeavoured to cater for our every need. On arrival we were greeted by Anna who was so friendly and we were shown around the cottage. The table was set for tea with a cake ... which was a lovely surprise and very delicious.
The cottage although remote provided a good base for us touring Cornwall.

Absolutely Magical
I hesitated leaving a review as I didn't want other people to know how wonderful a place this is! The pictures show a wonderful quaint cottage with wonderful garden and that is exactly what you get - it was an amazing "home from home" providing a brilliant base to go explore the spectacular countryside and numerous tourist destinations in Cornwall. From the moment we arrived, Anna was warm and welcoming. This is definitely a place we will visit again!

Foxgloves is the pause button for busy lives
In a hurry? then you need to stay here.
Foxgloves and its outstanding location will slow you down and pick you up. From the arrival surprises, cake on the table, milk in the fridge, and logs in the basket; To the warmest of welcomes and the nothing is too much trouble attitude of Anna and her family you will be relaxed in no time.
We stayed with 5 adults and the dog (Sam) but it didn't feel overcrowded. There is a lovely walk straight out of the cottage and many more a short distance. Loads of history at Minions (the village) and beyond. One day we went to Dartmoor and another the beach at Bude. This cottage is well placed for peace and quiet as well as exploring
.
We have stayed in a lot of cottages and this is right up there with the best. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending a stay at this little slice of paradise.
Thank you Anna and your family for making our stay so special, the extra touches are most appreciated.
We will miss Foxgloves...until next time

Most enjoyable
Our stay at Foxgloves was relaxing, peaceful and most enjoyable. The cottage was comfortable and every amenity supplied for a hassle free break.
Tea, coffee, milk and a chocolate cake were awaiting us on arrival which was much appreciated after a long journey.
Fresh bread, milk etc. can be bought from the well appointed and very friendly village store, which can be reached via a lovely walk through the woods adjoining the cottage, our chosen route, or a 5 minute car ride.
