This restaurant is moderately priced, features a fairly extensive menu, has a very nice bar, and best of all, offers a pleasant and secluded patio area where you can enjoy your meal outdoors while sitting right near the intersection of Monroe and Clover.
We've visited many time and the food quality is quite good and the portions are ample.
The biggest problem with Monroe's is that the service is very inconsistent. We've had a few instances of extremely slow service and inability to get attention even when we were trying to get the bill. On a couple of occasions it took us four hour from the time we arrived to the tie we left and this wasn't because we were sitting around chatting with our friends.
In general I would recommend Monroes for a pleasant dinner but be aware that you might be there longer than you expected.
