“Best Holiday Ever!”

I cannot praise this place or Rose himself enough! My girlfriend and I recently spent a week at Rose' Cave and hands-down had the best holiday experience of my life. Rose' knowledge of the island and culture really gave us an insight into what we could find and do while we were there. He took the time to find out our interests, and was able to suggest things to do that he knew we'd enjoy, and we did! Everything we could have asked for was on hand, no job too small or big for him. And he managed to do all of this without being intrusive. The cave has a glorious view of the entire island, and maintains a lot of privacy which you don't get with a lot of the other hotels/caves around Oia. Even sitting out in the sun we had total privacy from prying tourist eyes above.

I would seriously recommend a stay with Rose if you're thinking of going to Santorini, I'll definitely be booking again!

“Fantastic!”

Stayed for one week and wish it could've been for longer.

Santorini is beautiful and staying in a traditional cave house is extra special. Some cave houses have Jacuzzis but ours was more basic so did not have one, however, we were still very pleased with our choice as there was very little footfall outside and our terrace was very private. Some other houses were very open to people passing on the narrow paths and stairs or could be fully in view from above.

Rose, our host, lives above the cave house so is always on hand for information regarding where to visit, eat, shop etc. He is exceptionally friendly and helpful, speaks very good English and although lives so close, is not obtrusive.

The cave itself is exactly as described - constant temperature inside no matter how hot or cold it is outside, large living/kitchen area and a double bedroom. The showeroom was on the small side but well adequate for our needs.

As previously mentioned, there are quite a few steps down to this property but these should not be a problem to the majority of people.

If you need any further information, please get in touch.

Our stay in Rose's Cave was wonderful. Rose was extremely helpful with finding excursions and giving tips on the best places to go, and with information about the island. The property was kept extremely well and was the perfect size for two people. The location is perfect! You are literally steps away from the main strip with plenty of unique shops and restaurants. The view was stunning, and it was amazing to be able to experience it while relaxing at the house.
It was great to be able to cook a few meals in the kitchen when needed, and we loved that we were able to walk to many places from the Cave as well, such as the public pool, Amoudi Bay, cliff view restaurants, supermarkets, bus station and car rental services to travel to the rest of the island!
Rose couldn't have been more helpful to us during our stay, and I would definitely recommend this spot.

“Perfect retreat in Oia! What a view!”

Visiting Greece & specifically the island of Santorini was always on my list of things to do! I had never thought of renting a house there, but a friend of mine suggested it as an alternative to booking a hotel room. Finding Rose's cave was a stroke of luck - and I loved every single minute of it.

Rose's cave was a dream come true - located down the cliff in Oia (pronounced EE-Ah), at the end of a narrow path (with 84 very uneven steps), it offers amazing views of the island, the caldera & Oia. The cave looks exactly as shown on the pictures, comfortable & cool on the inside. Because it is somewhat off the beaten path - though only a 2-minute climb from the main street, we could enjoy the sunrises & sunsets without having to worry about the tourists blocking our great views! Additionally, the house is located just below two of the most famous "blue dome" churches in Oia, so we got to look at them every day - from sunrise to sunset.

Rose was a great host, offering advice on local restaurants, attractions, things to do (and not do), etc... Rose also helped us get a porter to carry our suitcases to & from the house, so we did not have to worry about our luggage. He also helped us book our transportation from the ferry on our way in & to the airport on our way out. My friend and I had a great time talking to Rose & getting to know him & Greece better. We couldn't have asked for a better host.
