Oia has changed considerably since we were last there 10 years ago, but its great to still find honest hospitality hasn't been totally lost with the inevitable increase in visitors. We stayed for 5 nights in the second lowest cave house and loved its traditional curved and organic surfaces. The rooms where clean and well appointed. Breakfast each morning was enough for two meals - and on a number of days it became such. The balcony has a great view over the caldera and sits above the donkeys track down to the port. Oia is mostly south facing, so doesn't have direct view of the setting sun except in a few places, but we enjoyed watching the colours warm and change over the west facing side of the caldera, water and sailing vessels while relaxing on the shaded balcony.
The location is very central, about 50m off the main walkway with its many restaurants and shops.
Overall we found Pezoules an excellent choice to stay in Oia, with professional, and great service to match.More
