Me, my partner and daughter (5y/o) spent a week here at the beginning of June. The hotel itself was tidy, clean and well kept. every single one of the staff that we encountered were absolutely fantastic and very polite. nothing was too much trouble for anyone. the rooms were cleaned and tidyed everyday by the maids; so when we left we left out spare change for the maid and she was over the moon. The country is very poverty stricken and a small amount is very appreciated by the workers (although no way expected). The pool in my opinion needs some work doing as alotnox the tiles are missing, so be careful not to cut your feet.
The one thing I did not like was on the beach; there are a lot of the locals trying to sell a lot of Nick naks and they will not take no for an answer. I feel that maybe more could be done by the security to move them along if you are not interested. Another thing that was advised once we were there by out tui rep; was to not go on the beach after 6pm. This was due to approx 7 weeks ago; a couple walked down the beach and were robbed by a local. so please stay vigilant; but please do not let this out you off the beach during the day as it is beautiful.More
