Had a great visit here with many surprise attractions. It is about 25 km from the main road, down very rough dirt roads, but worth the journey. The falls are beautiful and the locals will take you on a great tour if you are willing to be open and follow along! The hiking is short but some parts are a little steep. There is a little "pay as you go" along the way, but it is worth it. I would bring the equivalent of $50 USD for the guides/attractions...without spoiling the surprises, a boat ride to a really beautiful, untouched place is provided.

Additionally, had an excellent local tour guide take me through Jinja. His name is Patrick, WhatsApp phone is +256 755 777188. Email is Patrick.sanya@gmail.com.

Almost two hours from Jinja on the dusty road (we don't rush) but really super to sit by the racing, roaring water. Please don't pay the young men to jump in and swim downstream; better to give them something NOT to do it. Super place for photos. Wear flat shoes, no steps but slopes and some loose stones.

Apparently I would say it is the only beautiful falls left on the Nile river, which is so sad to say, but the good news is, it is very spectaculars to watch the water play hide and seek with the rocks

So the falls are great, don't get me wrong; but its a very awkward place to be for an elongated period of time. You can only sit on the rocks for so long. Choose a more comfortable point to while away time.

It is a been there done it kind of place.
