Great place to spend 1 or 2 nights. We were alone in the campsite and all commodities were goods. The owner is very friendly and the visit of the fossil was a nice activity. Numerous quivertree and dolerite (rock formations) are all around (no real need to go to the nearby parks).

What a lovely, cosy fabulous overnight stop! Attention to detail, relaxed, welcoming and very accommodating hosts. Guided tour is a must and Oom Giel was passionate and entertaining. We enjoyed our time and would recommend Mesosaurus Fossil Camp.

The chalets are rustic and clean with shower and toilet. Outside is a well equipped kitchenette and bbq area. It was very functional for our needs and it was very peaceful here. We did a tour with the owner Giel where he took us to an area where he has found many fossils on the farm, the history of the area is fascinating. He is passionate about his farm and quiver trees and the photo opportunities of the sunset over the dolomite boulders with quiver trees made for interesting photos. Giel can play tunes on the dolomite boulders! He’s a fascinating man full of information! There is a dining area where the other tenants ordered dinner and breakfast before leaving. If fossils fascinate you, then this is the place for more than one night!

Favourite campsite in S. Namibia. Camp near social weaver nests, on a dry river bed, in a quiver tree forest. Nice rustic ablutions. Interesting tour on offer & lovely 4x4 drive. You wont regret it, GO!!

This is an amazing place. We could only stayed for one night, but boy o boy what an experience!!
We most definitely will visit it again and then stay for at least two days. The way in which the chalets are set up, make it very nice with the kitchen and braai areas just next to the rooms.
Highly recommended!!
