First, you must understand that this is not the same accommodation as a hotel. These cabins are very simplistic, rustic and a step above camping. With that being said, the cabins are roomy, they have showers and toilets and a cute little kitchen area. The rooms are fairly clean, but need renovations.
The owner and the staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to accommodate the guests. The is a very nice fire pit, an okay pool area and a nice grassy area to hang out. The location is close to very thing, with a nice restaurant eatery right next door. I would recommend Amber Lantern to the camping lovers who are looking for a cute, quaint cabin.

We stayed here 4 days during the Memorial Day weekend, We were very happy that we picked it here . It's very nice, clean, quiet cottages plenty of hot water, towels, great working A/C.
It was hot this weekend we went on the pool it nice 70 degrees clean, refreshing. Hats off to Tom the owner he's always working doing things to make it better.
Every thing you could ever need is in the kitchen at the cottage. Things I didn't think of. It's very relaxing here and I highly recommend it to everyone to stay here. You won't be sorry. Plus their dog friendly so I could bring my dachshund Bentley he loved it too. Thank you we'll see you soon again.

Okay, so you get there and yes, the cottages are a bit worn out, but the calm, leafy environment and the sense of getting away from it all soon takes over. Tom was brilliant when we needed a little help and our stay here strangely became one of the highlights of our New England tour. If you want shiny and pristine (which I often do!), don't go for this. if you want a more authentic, laid back, chill out experience, this is ideal. We loved it.

Room Tip: We liked the individual, cosy cottage very much

We stayed in the 1 bedroom cabin, and it was lovely. The owner was very accommodating to our specific check in and check out times that we had to keep. Would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a little more privacy with your stay in lake George.

We were really excited to go away for our last summer trip with a group of friends. I own a boston terrier and a pitbull mix. We've taken them on road trips to other dog friendly places without a problem. When we arrived here the first thing the owner said was "What kind of dogs are those?" I am not unaware of the ignorance (ha!) that exists towards pitbull mixes, but it was still disheartening. The owner told us not to leave them alone for long and that there were many children and families there, lol. My dogs have been around children. The next morning there were a bunch of dogs and kids running around. My dogs greeted the dogs and could not care less about the kids. I'm giving 2 stars because we met some great folks staying there that didn't mind our dogs at all. Like others have mentioned, the rooms are really old and nothing to rave about. The light fixtures were falling apart, which is definitely a safety hazard.
