We stayed a Njele Country Park June 1-10. It was our first time there but will probably stay there again. It's located on a very busy highway (the marker on the map is in the wrong place) but it doesn't feel like it once you pass through the gates. It's very green and peaceful. The grounds are beautiful, they keep it well watered even in the dry season.
The staff was outstanding. They were very friendly, hospitable and helpful. The did whatever they could to make our stay very pleasant.
The rooms were very clean. We had a group of people, so we occupied chalet rooms and non-chalet rooms. The non-chalet rooms were much smaller but singles stayed in those rooms. The chalet rooms are very large, king-size bed, shower, and bathtub. The chalet rooms are a little dark because of the low overhang roofs, but it isn't unusual for African interiors. We had plenty of water (hot and cold), although the showers didn't always have good pressure. The rooms do have wi-fi - although it was very weak much of the time.
The food in the dining room was very good. They cooked some local favorites (shema) but catered to our American tastes too.More
