A delightful gentleman at the 15 Steps (local craft) store on the Commons suggested this place as "upscale Mexican" when we were visiting Ithaca. What a find! We shared the three taco platter - you have your choice of six different kinds at lunch - we had the chicken tinga, mushroom & herb, and homemade chorizo, - all served with a tray of roasted tomatillo salsa, red chimichurri, pickled red onions, and pickled jalapenos - and the choice of two sides (rice, beans or plantains). Everything was fresh and/or homemade including the queso fresco. We also ordered a delicious bowl of pozole rojo served with sliced radish, shredded cabbage, onions, cilantro and toasted oregano. Lots of exceptional food for $20. Our server, Ryan, was excellent. Helpful. Attentive. Friendly. Explained that they had only been open for two months - and it is indeed run by two twin brothers. Wish we lived closer to go back and explore the menu - including an interesting array of cocktails! Fun vibe to the place - it is downstairs with exposed stone walls. Tables and high top seating. Bowls of cinnamon sticks on the tables. OUTSTANDING.
