A winery I would definitely return to. The staff was incredibly friendly and the wine was delicious. They had above average selection for the wine tastings. The price to buy bottles was reasonable for the good quality of the wine. They offered a beer flight but it was only average. It does have a nice view of Seneca lake but Glenora has a better view.

Awesome piece of history and great wines for all. Beautiful estate and rock to take a bottle down and sip or buy at the bar on the dock. Very cool and serene place!

We picked this winery as National Geographic highly recommended it for the view. This winery also has lodging. it's directly on the water, I didn't feel that the view stood up to National Geographic's description, but we did not walk the grounds so perhaps we didn't get the full effect.
As far as wines, non that really stood out for us, none bought. The men did the beer tasting and were not fans of the beer.
Small tasting room, the women serving us was very pleasant and attentive.

We were advised to visit Miles by another winery in the area because of the unique nature of the building the winery is housed in. The winery is easy to miss, since it's down the slope by the lake, a short drive from the highway; however, if you decide to skip it, you're probably making a mistake.

We found our host to be incredibly knowledgeable about wine, wine-making, and brewing (yes, they also serve beer). He is clearly passionate about his craft and puts a lot of effort into experimenting with and discussing different flavours, textures, and ideas in general. He gave us plenty of attention, and did well in balancing the needs/interests of different groups, explaining the nature of different wines and catering well to the tastes of individuals. If you care about wine-making as an art, this is a good place to visit.

The wine is quite enjoyable, and the legend of the ghosts that ostensibly haunt the site is fun - and certainly capitalized upon. It was a bit disappointing that samples had to be purchased in advance, but at least you get to keep the wine glass used. You can also get samples of beer if you would like.

All in all, we were very impressed by the service we received and stayed there much longer than we expected. Whether you're on a wine tour, or just looking for something to break up a drive in the area, I recommend checking out Miles. Apparently there are also interesting events they host in the summer as well.

The owner is such a nice guy...we make a point to stop here each and every time we attend the Deck the Halls event on Seneca Lake, even though they do not participate. This time, we brought 2 friends who had never been to Seneca Lake, and they fell in love with the place too. One friend loves hearing about ghosts and haunted houses, so she was especially intrigued with Miles Wine Cellars, and the story behind the property. I wouldn't mind staying here a night or two. My husband loves trying the beer in particular, and we always leave with a growler or two of whatever is on tap. The Reisling beer was a favorite a while back, but we tried a few different beers this time. I like pretty much all the wines here, the Wisteria in particular is really good. We need to come back in the warmer weather when the cafe is up and running. The grounds here are just magnificent, the only thing I would change is to get an indoor toilet. I heard a few complaints from women about having to use the port-a-potty outside.
