Lovely new member of the ABC family. Like all the other lodges we had been in the rooms were lovely, and central area looked out over an area that was plentifully inhabited by, guess, what?, animals: elephants, antelope, and others. Food was great.staff was friendly and helpful. Our guide Brian was wonderful found us a few lions, and my only sighting ever of wild dogs! A walk safari with Alf completed our delightful stay.

African Bush Camps were excellent and looked after us very well indeed. The accommodation was amazing and so well thought out. Our guide was very knowledgeable and looked after us very well indeed. The children loved seeing all the animals and we were so lucky to see the wild dogs as well as a lion kill - very special. They did an amazing bush supper for us one night which was just so lovely - under the stars by the fire with lots of singing and dancing. Jason, Pamela, Shingi and all of them were great. Thank you for a lovely time.

My husband and I, along with our adult daughters and their guys, spent the most incredible three nights at Nyamatusi Mahogany Camp in late July.

It's hard to know where to begin, so I'll start with what stands out the most and that is the truly exceptional staff. Their warmth and congeniality combined with their professionalism and humor created an atmosphere that we will never forget. Our hosts, Joyce and Jaison, set the tone for the entire camp. Upon arrival at Nyamatusi, we were greeted by Joyce and Jaison leading the staff in song. The incredible hospitality we were shown made us feel at home for our entire stay.

Lovemore was our awesome guide. With Lovemore as our leader on game drives and walks, it was as if we were in a college level course on the African eco-system. His depth of knowledge was truly remarkable. In addition, Lovemore, with his quick wit, kept us in stitches and seemed to possess unlimited tolerance for our incessant questions.

We so enjoyed being able to spend our time in camp, at meals and around the campfire with our guide, our hosts and the extended staff. It was a lovely opportunity to get to know them better and hear about their experiences. We were so touched on our last night when we were surprised by a dance party and celebration in honor of a couple of major events in our family (an anniversary and a recent engagement). The kindness and thoughtfulness of the entire staff of Nyamatusi was just remarkable.

On the banks of the Zambezi River, with views across to the mountains of Zambia, the setting for Nyamatusi Mahogany is stunning, especially at sunset. The design and decor is gorgeous: contemporary, spacious and comfortable. We loved the views from our "tent" and especially from the two-story common area.

The food was wonderful! There were great, healthy choices and all so beautifully presented.

Oh! yes, the wildlife! Mana Pools is an amazing area. We saw lots of elephants, impalas, kudus, zebras, a huge variety of birds, crocodiles, lions (several times) and tons of hippos. Don’t miss: 1) a canoe trip on the Zambezi: up close and personal with lots of crocodiles and hippos, that will get the adrenaline going! and 2) a walking safari - especially on the trail of lions! The guides in Zimbabwe are some of the best and most rigorously trained in Africa.

It all adds up to an unforgettable experience!!!

We have had a most amazing and memorable 4-night stay in Nyamatusi Mahogany! We have superlatives for everything! The camp is luxurious and beautiful, the people are amazingly warm and knowledgeable and the food is superb (delicious vegetarian food as we are vegetarian and gluten-free and sugar-free dishes for our son)! Our host Jaison and guide Lovemore couldn’t have taken better care for us. Everyone was so attentive to our every little need and we very much enjoyed our meals together where we learnt so much about them, the wildlife and Zimbabwe.

The landscape of Mana Pools is really stunning and with plentiful animal and birdlife, it felt like paradise! Lovemore is a fantastic guide and a walking encyclopedia! We saw most of the animals there were to see, including wild dogs! Two of our most unforgettable experiences were getting on foot to track Bozo (the famous elephant that stands on its hind legs to break branches) and canoing down the Zambezi (and avoiding the hippos and crocs!).

On the morning we were to leave, one of the guides called out to our rooms to tell us that a group of lions was eating an impala right in front of our camp! It was early morning (before dawn) and the whole experience felt so surreal!

Thank you Jaison and Lovemore and all the staff at Nyamatusi Mahogany. You made our holiday really special and we can’t wait to be with you again!

Nyamatusi Mahogany is like heaven on earth. The facilities are stunningly beautiful. The rooms are luxurious and the lodge is beautifully decorated. And the food is great! But what makes this place special are the people. We were greeted every day by Jaison and Bee, who couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Bee anticipated every need we had. My daughter forgot her hat and jacket at the camp one day and when we came back looking for it 30 minutes later, Bee was standing outside when we pulled up with the hat and jacket in her hands. It was unbelievable! Witness and Chloe, the assistant manager, were great too. We had some problems before we got to the camp and Chloe was really helpful in trying to work those out. Everyone went out of their way to make it a really special experience.

The major star though, was Nick, our guide. He was really knowledgeable and tried to show us everything possible. He also gave us a new appreciation for birds! He was patient, personable, kind, and just wonderful. You would be lucky to get him as a guide.

We also went on a canoe safari (and saw over 100 hippos!) and had a fantastic time with TK and Kuba!

I cannot recommend Nyamatusi Mahogany highly enough! Go!!!
