The rooms are beautiful stilted tents with a view of a watering hole: one night hyenas and another night Impala frolicking with water buffalo. Chef is phenomenal and the food is absolutely delicious. Service overall is top notch. Massage therapist is wonderful. Activities can be as active and varied as you like from walks, full day drives, half day drives and conservation/community activities to relaxing by the pool, spa treatments or chilling by a fireplace with a book. Hwange National Park is huge and wildlife in plentiful. I was a solo female traveler and was nervous. There was no reason. I was made so welcome by both the lodge and fellow travelers. It was like staying with old friends. I had a fabulous experience at Elephant Eye. I hope to return with friends.
