“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed 17 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We came and stayed here for our daughters 13th birthday weekend at alton towers , we booked this accommodation as it was as cheap as staying at a travel lodge with the added bonus of being able to bring our dog.
Graham and his wife were fantastic hosts , friendly, informative and very accommodating.
The surrounding area and views are stunning it really is a hidden piece of paradise
The accommodation is lovely and has everything in that you would need , with very comfy beds.
There is plenty to keep the kids amused whilst here , the highlight being Elliot the very friendly loveable pony that lives on the safe play field attached to the accommodations
We will definitely be returning as it totally exceeded our expectations and is great value for money

“Little gem in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed 10 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Lovely, cosy property in spectacular scenic surroundings with breathtaking views over the Peak District. Graham the ownner greated us upon arrival and was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay.
Ideal location to visit the Peak District close to the lovely towns of Bakewell and Buxton. The stable was very clean and tidy and it was nice to receive a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar and milk.
Will definately be returning again soon for another short break. Our dog Barney also enjoyed his stay as there are many walks to go on straight from the door.

“Excellent location, beautiful countryside and lovely host”
Reviewed 8 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We recently stayed at this farm on a visit to Alton Towers.

The cottage was clean and compact. It was nicely furnished with everything that we needed for the stay including DVDs, games etc.

The farm and its surrounding buildings are beautiful. The host Graham and his wife were lovely jolly people. .

Is a lovely place to stay.

“Superb cottage with outstanding proprietors and close proximity to Alton Towers”

The cottage was clean and as spacious as advertised and is situated in an extremely pretty setting less than 10 minutes drive from Alton Towers which was our prime reason for booking here. On arrival there was tea, coffee and milk available and Graham and Joyce, the owners, were outstandingly friendly and helpful from the minute we arrived until the minute we left.

The cottage had ample facilities for cooking and the bbq was readily available. The electric meters were light going only costing us £3 for the 3 nights including showers for all and using the washing machine every day although we did not need to use the heating during our stay.

We enjoyed the stay so much we have already booked for another stay in October and will do again in the future.
