You might have some difficulties finding this spot, given that it shares a parking lot with a Mobile station and sits atop a general store which is typically closed in the p.m. but don’t give up you’ll find it and you should. Drive around the back to park. There is a lovely, cozy bar area as you enter and are heartily greated by the bartender and it would seem anyone at the bar when you
arrive. The space is surprisingly large and the tables well spaced. And while the menu is fairly small, it is anything but simple. We spent only two days in nearby Damascus and because we were so blown away the first night, we ate there again for dinner the second. I ordered the sesame seared Beaverkill rainbow trout the first night and my husband ordered the Château Briand. While the trout was lovely no doubt, the Château Briand was off the freaking hook! Hence dinner there the second night so I could have the Château Briand. I understand that their Big Ass Ribeye is another winner. And while this place is a good two hours from my home I would consider driving there just for another shot at that Château Briand . You gotta go !
