Nelson was a great person to rent from and very accommodating. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great weekend. The cottage was simply fabulous and with the gorgeous views we could have stayed up there forever.
Unlike the previous review we had no issues with the TV. There appeared to be no cable, but a DVD/VCR player and we noticed a Roku stick when we left but didn't need it as we brought our own DVDs (there's also a great selection of movies available in the cabin). The wifi worked great, though we didn't use it much (vacation and all). The nearby town has a great farmers market on Sundays, a brewery, fantastic wine and cheese shop, and several vintage and thrift shops.

“Thank you for a great getaway!”
Reviewed 12 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We had a wonderful time in Callicoon with lots of laughter, fun and good memories. The house was quite charming and comfortable. The surrounding area was incredibly lovely, and we enjoyed river rafting on the Delaware River, horseback riding with Bridle Farms, antique shopping at Country Bum'kin, swimming in the pool at the Youth Center, and good dining at various spots in Bethel and Callicoon. The only issue is that the TV never worked, even after numerous attempts to obtain a connection. However, we had free WiFi, which was nice. Also, although AC was advertised and there was none, we found that we didn't need it because the nights were very cool. There is a small window fan in one of the bedrooms and several fans throughout the house. It was also nice to have a piano and the surrounding farm country to greet us each morning. We were also very happy that no mosquitoes were to be found! Overall, my family and I were extremely happy about our decision to have this little getaway, and this home was comfortable enough to accommodate us.
