Incredible

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 10 Jul 2024
My spouse and I just returned from a trip to Botswana that included three nights at Chobe Under Canvas. I will try my best to do justice to this safari camp and the team there. The experience was fantastic. The camp is deep within Chobe National Park which gave us access to animal viewing from sunrise to sunset. The density and variety of animals was astounding. So many elephants, lions, baboons, leopards, crocodiles, hippos, impalas, buffalos, giraffes, and an astounding variety of bird species. Our stay included a photographic boat excursion on the Chobe River. Using the camera equipment provided to us, we took literally thousands of amazing photos. The guide for our game drives able to answer all of our questions about the flora, fauna, geology, geography, and history of Botswana. The tent accommodations were incredibly comfortable, and the meals were expertly prepared over an open fire. (Sincerely, we stayed at a number of camps, and the meals prepared by the chef at Chobe Under Canvas were consistently as good or better than the ones from more traditional kitchens.) Plus, the camp manager and our guide joined us for our meals, and they taught us so much about the people and wildlife of Southern Africa. At night, we fell asleep to the sounds of lions and elephants, and during our final night, we had a honey badger come to the front of our tent and then meander away. I am so glad we stayed at Chobe Under Canvas. It was truly amazing and unforgettable experience.

First camp of our safari did not disappointed, a very personalised and professional experience with amazing game viewing in chobe and a real camp experience. Lions elephants making noise nearby through the night. Leopards, elephants and an amazing boat cruise with pangolin photography.

Chobe Under Canvas a mobile clamping experience with AndBeyond group not to be missed. Although it was December , in the rainy season, and hot. The experience with the migrating birds and newly born animals is amazing. accommodation and staff are excellent. Glamping experience top notch, without you doing anything. Topping the experience of with Photographic tour with pangolin safaris on the Chobe river, just one word wow.

There are no words to describe how incredible this experience was! The team that looked after us were all fantastic so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious! We had 14 lions walk past our camp at night which was an awesome experience but the team looked out for our safety at all times. So many birds to see and beautiful scenery along the river. Can definitely recommend if you’re up for an adventure and getting close to nature. The photographic boat Safari that was included was a brilliant experience with great tips given with top quality canon cameras. You get to keep the SD card too which was fab.

Room tip: Bring a power bank for your phone as the camp has no charging facilities.

&Beyond is exactly the experience we had. From the moment we were pick up from Kasane airfield. We started with a game drive we our much-experienced host, driver, and guide. He showed us lions, Leppard, birds, and off course the elephants which are many. Then on to our tented camp in the middle of the bush. A warm welcome and a lovely lunch and our home for the days to come. After lunch we are off into the bush again for new animals and new experiences. The day ends with a lovely bush shower a drink at the fireplace and great dinner. &Beyond it is. All days where as great as the first with a special morning on a boat trip with cameras on tripod with seats. Even for an experienced photographer a wonderful moment of learning and seeing wildlife from a different angle. Thanks to the whole crew we loved our stay at &Beyond

An experience of a lifetime with Kevin, Mala and the team. Hearing the lions roar at night from your tent is something never to be forgotten, but you felt safe at every moment. The camp team were great fun and the food was fantastic. The intimate and up close interactions with the elephants, lions, giraffe and buffalo to name a few were breathtaking. An experience not to be missed at Chobe!
