Our group of 40 called ahead and ordered. It was a bit hectic, but they handled our crowd well. There were many delicious sounding entrees. We had a delicious chicken curry. We sat outside and enjoyed the pleasant weather and good food.

We tried the 925 breakfast, mielie muffin and egg, bockwurst, pancakes, french toast. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their breakfast. Cappuccino needed a bit of work as it was very bitter.

We stopped here for lunch as part of a large group on a two-week tour of South Africa.
Our meals (for 38 people in total) were ordered in advance, as we were travelling from Kruger to Johannesburg to catch a flight. So we needed to be served quite quickly.

Service was reasonable, but neither friendly nor expedient.
But, there was an unwarranted service charge added to all bills.

The food was just average, and therefore Rose Cottage would not be my choice if I was travelling this way again.

Every body goes for the trout at Rose Cottage and I must say it is lovely. Note to book in advance as many tour busses stop there and it can be very full, else have an early lunch

Firstly - dirty toilets = dirty kitchen. Waiter lacked knowledge and confidence. Ordered two pies. Certainly not pies, but rather the equivalent of sausage rolls with different fillings - the pepper steak turned out to be tasteless mince filling, whilst the chicken "pie" was a pastry roll filled with dry chicken. The gravy was awful - not homemade, simply an automated powder and water mix. Absolutely no attention or care with presentation. Noise from the kitchen was disturbing whilst management sat in the adjacent area and did nothing to rectify the situation. This restaurant is detrimental to Dullstroom. Left with a bad taste in our mouths.
