We stayed 2 Nights at the Shamwari Bayethe Lodge: amazing and perfect stay. Beautiful rooms in tents, perfect Service and Food and our Indian Ranger Minu (Minolan) gave as an outstanding experience during the Game Drives. Lots of experience and imagination, coupled with Empathie and fun recommend it. We loved it. We saw the Big Five and it was the most beautiful and amazing experience we made with our Indian Ranger.

My Husband and I stayed here for my 50th birthday, the staff were absolutley wonderful and really made our stay very special. From birthday cake to running a bath with petals and bottle of champagne, it was a truly memorable experience. We were sitting there one afternoon and I looked out of the wimdow only to see a herd of elephants walking past the pool- spectacular. Our game ranger Gerin was amazing he had so much knowledge about all of the animals and nature, and we saw so many different animals I was fascinated by the cats and he went out of his way to find the Leopard for me and then on our last day we were allowed out of the vehicle to really get close to two Cheetahs and we were only about 10 feet away from them it was a heart stopping experience. The rooms were stunning 6 star, and food was fabulous, I can't praise this enough- absolutely amazing.

Room Tip: We had a suite and it was absolutley stunning.

The food, accommodation and staff are all splendid, but it is the game drives that matter. There is a wealth of animals to see from comfortable and well maintained vehicles. The guides all appear knowledgable and friendly. If you get Jan, as we did, you will be in the hands of someone special. We have been guided round parks, wilderness, palaces and ruins and he ranks with the very best. What we saw of the other guides would suggest that this is an organisation whose standards are very high. If you want a great safari go to Shamwari.

Our 25 wedding anniversary. Perfect in every way. Beautiful room, spectacular food, friendly and helpful service from all the staff. Beth, our game reserve guide, was brilliant - so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We saw our big 5/7/100! Amazing to get so close. Thank you
