Amazing experience right from the start. We had never been to Africa let alone a safari so to begin at the Ngala Lodge was second to none.

We stayed three nights in March 2018 and wished it had been longer. Superb care from all the staff. Christina was our first contact and made us feel special. We got guided to our room, number 16, which was beautiful. This room is very private and has a view to a waterhole (feels like it is just yours it is so private). We saw loads of warthogs, birds, bushbucks, and baboons.

Collie was our great butler and was very attentive and friendly. The kitchen staff are amazing! We loved Mama and would often chat with her and the staff, very fun. Food is really yummy. We had a different style of dinner every night. Once was a dinner out on the deck by the catering building. Very nice. We really enjoyed breakfast out on the deck too. Collie learnt this preference quickly and had out table set up before we got there the mornings following. We loved that. Thanks Collie!
We also had a group dining experience in the Boma, and then our last night was out in the park, a surprise for everyone! Instead of driving us back to the lodge as night fell, we went to a lit up area which we soon saw was a fully set-up dining area! This was complete with a bar, bbq cooking area, and festoon lights in the trees which made it look so pretty. We were extremely thankful for the effort to make that happen and also it was amazing to have a cake brought out for my husbands birthday, with lovely singing. Thank you to all.

Well... the safari drives... EPIC! Loved every single minute. Sean was a truly exceptional guide, catering for the different experience levels on his jeep so effortlessly. His knowledge of the park and the animals is fantastic. Aubrey was our tracker and it was really cool seeing him track two male lions at dusk.

One of the best times we had was with new companion guests (Steve M and mate) on the jeep who were experienced at doing safaris. Sean chose to take us on an adventure to find wild dogs (on Steve M's bucket list) and it was a brilliant trip! We drove off the track (carefully bypassing protected little trees and shrubs) following the amazing dogs. A magic trip (thanks Sean, and Steve for asking about finding the dogs).

Sean is very good at pointing out the amazing birdlife. I could go on and on about what we saw and felt but really you have to go and experience for yourself! You cannot go wrong with the best, and this IS the best. Even though this was our first Safari experience we have heard since from many people that have done several safaris that andBeyond Ngala Safari Lodge is the best they have done.

Thank you to all the staff at the lodge.

Room Tip: Number 16 is wonderfully private and has its own view to a waterhole.

I wish I could give this lodge 6 stars. From start to finish, the staff at Ngala Safari Lodge made our honeymoon so incredibly special. The staff, butlers, guides, trackers and management were among the best I have encountered. The chefs took such pride in their food and loved sharing how they prepared each meal when asked.

This was my 3rd Safari in Africa. andBeyond is in a class by itself. We really appreciated our guide Marna and tracker Giyana. One thing that sets andBeyond apart is that they practice what they preach when it comes to conservation. They don’t overcrowd the animals and have set rules about when they will drive off-road as to preserve the Bush for generations to come.

By the end of our 5 nights at Ngala the staff greeted us by name, knew or preferred order and drinks at meals. We loved the sundowner drinks in the evening and morning coffee/tea stops in the Bush. It was an experience we will remember for a life time and tell any of our friends making the trip to South Africa to stay with Ngala Safari Lodge.

Although this lodge hosts families (I.e. children) the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a romantic honeymoon.

In summary, we saw the big 5 plus cheetah and wild dogs and a host of all the safari animals you would hope to see, had exceptional service and INCREDIBLE food. We would not have changed a single thing about our trip! Well done Ngala Safari Lodge!

Would recommend Ngala Lodge to anyone. Our driver Shaun and tracker Chris were great - got to see lions and leopards both eating a kill. The rooms themselves were very nice with private outdoor showers. Food was also delicious - if there was anything we wanted, our butler Silence was happy to get it for us. &Beyond resorts are always great.

Ngala Safari Lodge was the first stop to our three week vacation in Southern Africa and what a great place to start our trip. Lyle was our guide and he truly made the trip so spectacular - he was informative, fun and entertaining. We saw the big 5 and had some very close and unbelievable encounters with animals. The rooms were fabulous as was the food and staff. Would very highly recommend this Lodge.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel, but we couldn't get enough of it. We went along with our friends in December 2016. Though the ride there is very bumpy, the stay was worth it. We had booked 4 rooms. Rooms are exactly how they look in the pictures. Rooms were excellent! Everything was clean despite being in the middle of Kruger National Park. There were NO bugs. The bathroom had a glass wall on one side, so you would feel tempted to take a bath for hours. There here were so many soaps to choose from! Amenities and view were great. The food was great. There were many choices and many settings to eat at. When we went, elephants and a herd of wildebeest came through the resort! Service was excellent! Everything was taken care of. The safari experience was great. We went on 2 safaris a day. Very comfortable jeeps! Cooled drinks and snacks were provided at regular intervals. We even ate breakfast in the middle of the Park! We saw lion cubs(a very rare sight)! Our driver and navigator were extremely well-informed about everything in the park and guided us to see all kinds of animals! Overall one of the best hotels I've stayed in! Instead of driving, however we flew back to Cape Town(better).
