Senalala Luxury Safari Camp
Certificate of Excellence

I don’t know where to start! We had an outstanding stay at Senalala and could not be any more complimentary of the amazing host and property manager Corlia, her husband and Safari guide James and the other Safari guides Lize and HJ. Together, they made our Safari experience unbelievably fun and exciting and we can’t wait to return! We were also blown away at the luxurious rooms, the incredible food and the ambience of the camp itself. The viewing deck is simply amazing you will not believe the plethora of animals that visit the watering hole right in front of the camp. You could literally stay in camp and have an outstanding safari experience. We witnessed an epic battle over an impala kill between a huge pack of wild dogs and an equally large pack of hyenas right off the deck (you’re safe behind an electric fence)!!! It was INCREDIBLE! The safari drives were over the top fun and exciting and the guides go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable as you search for the big 5 and as many animals as possible! You will not be disappointed and I would bet you will be shocked and blown away at the experience! If you love wine, the fact Corlia has a huge selection of white and red South African wine is a HUGE bonus. You’re encouraged to try all of them and of course it’s all you can drink (Corlia quickly finds out your favorites and makes sure they’re always available and perfectly chilled!) You will gain weight on your stay because the food is outstanding, so be prepared to eat a lot! We miss our new Senalala family dearly and can’t wait to go back!!!

We (family of 4 adults), recently returned from a fabulous 4 day safari experience at Senalala. Each day the game drives provided views of some of the most beautiful animals and birds in the bush of South Africa. (with the exception of the black mamba. I hate snakes! lol) Our guide was Leeza. She was incredibly knowledgable and always made us feel safe even when we were a mere feet from the animals. Her enthusiasm was obvious each time we went out on a drive. One of my must-haves was a watering hole visible from camp. A large number and variety of animals visited during the day and evening. We were not disappointed. Another requirement for me was family style dining. We wanted to interact with other guests. We enjoyed the company of many people from around the world, all sharing their experiences collectively. Finally, Corlia, HJ, Leeza and James were most welcoming and made us feel like family. They ate with us, sat around the fire with us and were always interested in who their guests were. We couldn't have felt more welcomed! Senalala is where it's at!!!!!

I spent 4,5 days at Senalala after staying at another camp a few night earlier. What a wonderful experience. The warm welcome, the beautiful setting, the lovely meals filled with conviviality. I had a great experience.
I must give a special thanks to Corlia and James, and not to forget the very knowledgeable guide HJ and Lize.
The property is set directly in front of a waterhole where you can watch animals come throughout the day. I saw herds of elephants, hyenna and warthogs. There is a nice veranda with couches and also another area with chairs where you can watch the wild life while having a drink- be it water or something else.
The room is cozy and well appointed for, plugs are international (European) so that helps.
Since it is all inclusive you can go to the main area and pick up water, soft drinks, coffee/tea and all sorts of alcohol. There is a nice selection of wines to choose from.
The is a small swimming pool, to use in between safaris. There is plenty of time to unwind by the pool or anywhere else.
The safari experience was very good too. I went on a walking safari on the last day. I can recommend it.
During the game viewing we saw some young animals, which was a highlight. We had several sighting of rhinos, with twice a young baby rhino. We saw herds of elephants, and some encounters that were a bit of a thrill. I saw the big 4 and keep missing the elusive leopard. I know that many guests have had the privilege of seeing one just a few days before.
HJ is very knowledgeable and he shared very interesting facts during the walking safari and during the standard game viewing.
I had a wonderful time and would consider coming back. Next time it will be in the winter perhaps to have better visibility overall.

We arrived at camp on a Tuesday with the elephants watching us from the watering hole. The facilities were excellent as it had been totally remodeled. James, Corlia, HJ, Lize and the entire staff were fantastic. The common room cabin was cozy and well stocked with everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed the "help yourself" atmosphere. The game rides were unbelievable. James is the most respected guide in the area and we saw all the BIG 5 and so much more. While they found it comical how many pictures tourists take, we will look at those frequently to remember and relive those fabulous game rides. You are absolutely treated like family at this luxury camp.

Had a fantastic 4 and half days at Senalala. Not only did we see some amazing game we were welcomed with open arms by the entire staff. The guides were super knowledgeable and extremely passionate which made the drives even more interesting Very laid back, well maintained camp with everything you need and delicious food. Even a small gym to keep you occupied between drives. Would highly recommend to anyone contemplating a safari!!!
