Our stay at Tremisana was absolutely wonderful. We felt so relaxed when we left. The staff - all of them - were so friendly. The guides had a good range of knowledge & were great in making sure we got to experience everything Tremisana had to offer. A special thanks to Ray, Pretty, Rex, Luke & Andrew - you guys rock!!! I hope to see you all in the future.

Tremisana Lodge was our first night stay over on our very first visit to the Kruger area. This trip was with Viva Safaris. We had a lovely comfortable room. The gardens were well kept and very pretty. On arrival we were taken on a night safari of the camp and then off to have a late dinner at the outdoor boma. The next day we went on an early morning 3 hour bush walk with Mike and Bongani. We were very impressed with the knowledge that Bongani could share with us. Then later that day we again went on a safari drive. During all our outings we were overwhelmed by the beauty of these great creatures, and the many smaller animals that live in the bush too. The 3 lioness' and 6 cubs were the stars of the night trip, the Elephants and Rhinos the next day and the Zebra and Giraffe and especially for me, the owl on the night drive. We want to thank Mike and Bongani for these wonderful experiences that they shared with us. We could recommend this lodge and safari trips to anyone wishing to see the Big 5.

Room tip: We always ask for a room with our own bathroom

Hi Dianne

Thanks for a lovely review !

We are pleased that you found your room at Tremisana comfortable and the camp grounds neat and tidy. Bongani and Mike are thrilled that you so enjoyed the Big Five Bush walk - it certainly puts us a step above operators that offer "Nature Walks".
You were fortunate to see that pride of lions - 3 lionesses and 6 cubs - as well as elephant and rhino - well done !
I am happy also that you had a good sighting of an owl - these nocturnal birds of prey are always a highlight !

Kind regards

piero

We arrived here with Viva Safaris. It was just lovely at first sight – an exotic little compound with ponds and tiny waterfalls, a central pool, loads of lush foliage, and the rooms as organic hut-style cabins placed in a circle throughout the garden, joined by paths and small bridges. It had a retreat-esque feel to it.

Our room was spacious with three comfy double beds, all with canopy-style mosquito nets. (mozzie repellent was also supplied on each bed). Nice place to relax very quickly before our evening safari drive, and to catch some zzzs before our sunrise wildlife walk.

Tremisana has a couple of good places for meeting and socialising: the indoor/outdoor Boma Bar for drinks, and the Loma – an open space for meals. Overlooking the reserve land, we were lucky enough to see a large male elephant grazing nearby trees as we enjoyed a sandwich lunch. Later this elephant entered the carpark as we were about to enter our vehicles, and was efficiently shooed away by the Viva Safari staff.

Hi Kerry

Thank you for taking the time to write a review !

We are glad that you enjoyed the first night of your safari at Tremisana Game Lodge.

Good to read that you enjoyed the facilities at the camp and that the Boma, Bar and Lapa were great.
It is always exciting to see animals at our waterhole in front of the Lapa - it is a mere
twenty metres from the fence - so the sighting of the elephants must have been truly awesome !
I am happy that the staff managed to shoo them away from the car park and that you were able to get on with the rest of your safari. It's not everyone that can say they were held up by a herd of elephants !

Kind regards

Piero

We did a 4-day Safari with Viva Safaris and stayed one night in this lodge. The garden with the little pool area is very beautiful. Our hut was furnished with one king size bed and two standard beds all equipped with Mosquito nets, a little wardrobe, an arm chair and an electric cattle. The bathroom had a nice big shower in it. We got soap, towels and mosquito repellent cream that was really nice smelling - at least for human taste I guess :). The hut itself was clean, there were some spiders underneath the high roof but you are in the middle of a game reserve, I would wonder if there were no bugs or anything - so live with it. Unfortunately our hut was a little smelly, like mud or wet ground and since you should always close the windows when you are not in the hut (due to the monkeys that live at the lodge) we didn't got a chance to let enough air in. However I'd say that is also something one can easily live with when on budget Safari. The breakfast was very nice, we loved the fruit salad the most. The one dinner we had was good too. We would book Tramisana lodge again.

Intimate guest lodge surrounded by nature. Staff were incredibly helpful. Beautifully designed rooms to match the surrounds. Our night drive game ranger was had a vast knowledge of the bush and all its creatures. Candlelit dinner amongst the stars was the perfect way to spend our last night in this slice of heaven.

Hi Taryn

Thanks for a short but really powerful review.

I am so pleased to read expressions such as "incredibly helpful staff", "intimate lodge", "beautifully designed rooms", "candlelit dinners among the stars " and " slice of heaven" .

These suffice to convince all future tourists that they will not go wrong in booking a safari with VIVA SAFARIS.

Thank you !!

Kind regards

Piero
