“Nice surprise and the best Salsa ever”
Review of Sadie's Restaurant

Having been told this was the last restaurant open in town and being late in the evening [7:45] we were a bit worried....however, the waitress welcomed us even though we were the only ones there. We were immediately served the BEST salsa we've ever had [we like it mild] and delicious chips. Later learned her grandmother had made the salsa just 30 minutes earlier, so that explained the fresh delicious taste. My hamburger was fresh, juicy patty with avocado and the other trimmings...also all fresh. The tacos were not as meaty as one would hope, but the salsa would take us back!

We were on our way from Albuquerque to Lubbock. We went through Fort Sumner about lunchtime without much hope of eating until we got to Clovis. My wife was driving and saw a sign for Sadie’s Restaurant. So we took a chance and went looking for it. This is a very unpretentious hole in the wall with some of the best homemade Mexican food I’ve had. The stacked beef enchiladas with green chili sauce were excellent. Only downside was the chips tasted like bagged chips that had been in a warmer but the salsa was good. They close from 2-5 every day but worth a stop.

We both had the tamales, and they were very good indeed - freshly made with tasty but not too hot Chile on the side. They are closed Tue & Wed.

Service was fast and friendly along with a great burger! Not a pre frozen patty.good price also other people in the restaurant were more than happy to tell you were things are in town. Not that big of a place so if you stayed overnight you might as well see all there is!

I used to love to eat at Sadie's Mexican restaurant in Albuquerque NM. The chili is what Sadies is known for besides the Margaritas! Lol.. Anyways it's been awhile since I've been back home to Albuquerque NM and since Sadie's has always been the place to eat the best Mexican food in Albuquerque, we decided to go eat there since we were visiting family for the holidays. The food was just like I remember except that the chicken was a little dry and there really wasn't much flavour , not as much as we would like anyways. We usually order Christmas style. That's ordering the red and green chili. Which is really tasty. The paupitas are a must too! The only downside is that I get a very bad stomach ache after eating the chili at Sadie's Restaurant. That's only because I have a sensitive stomach though. It has nothing to do with the Restaurant itself! If your visiting Albuquerque NM then you must give Sadie's a try!!
