So we drove for about an hour and a half from Nahkon si thammarat, if it was JUST for the Dolphins I don't think it would've been worth it, but because we also went to some waterfalls it was.
The locals here speak no English...but when we said "pink dolphin" they directed us to the pier and a boat.
You drive into a small street that has a few shops and it looks like there's nothing there, because you can't see the ocean or beach, but a few steps down there is the dock.
It's 1000 baht to charter a longtail boat, and the cove where the dolphins are is very close. We got to see 3-5 pink Dolphins but from afar. They didn't want to come up close to us...but there was no doubt that they were pink, one was almost lilac so it was a nice experience.
You can rent some hats for 10 baht. We thought we had purchased them, but then realized when she was asking for them back that they were for rent.
I recommend you take some water because it is hot and you're just sitting out there (though most boats do have some shade) but if you sit there long enough it gets really hot and you sweat therefore water or a beverage is a good idea
Wear sunblock and light clothes.
There were five of us so for the price it really was worth chartering the boat. Hope this helps!
