We had a wonderful dinner at Christelle’s Bistro. The steak was perfectly prepared. The chocolate pie dessert was to die for!

We are serving authentic French food with a South African flair. We also offer delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes. We are dog friendly and if they wish, they too can have a little treat. The Bistro is our dream created out of years of experience working in the hospitality industry all over the world. Chef Josia is heading the kitchen and my French wife Christelle, the friendly hostess. Our passion and desire has lead us to where the restaurant stands today. Was welcomed by the owner
April took over everything she was on time with everything she knew the menu by head she is smart so soft and smiling her recommendation was great the perfect wine olivedal marlberc this was excellent..April thank you for making our evening memorable...great photography as well she is just so adorable 😍 thank you

The food was delicious and the unique parisienne decor added a nice touch to the ambience. The hostess was lovely accommodating.

Staying in Swellendam we wanted to find a lovely place for our last evening. Well we most certainly found an awesome restaurant. Christelle was the perfect host and communication when booking was speedy. The choice of food, all brilliantly prepared, was excellent but be prepared for a difficult time choosing as there were so many options all so appealing.
The restaurant is beautiful inside and the roaring fire on a cold winter evening made for a very special birthday celebration.
It was also lovely meeting Christelle’s husband who came out of the kitchen to meet the dining guests.
Hopefully one day we’ll be able to return to Swellendam and enjoy another lovely evening.
